Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jhonny Sparks (ranked 2700 p4p, 3835 weight class) and Richard Morrison (ranked 274 p4p, 351 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sparks.
Morrison pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sparks is out of range and Morrison settles back down.
Sparks half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Morrison rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sparks moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sparks throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morrison tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sparks is in Morrison's guard.
Morrison is pulling down on Sparks's head to control his posture.
Sparks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Morrison controls Sparks momentarily but Sparks frees himself.
Sparks trying to control the position from guard on top but Morrison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Morrison has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Catch Wrestling L.A.. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sparks is sitting in close to Morrison's body. Morrison has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sparks is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sparks is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Morrison.
