The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLennon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gustus doesn't seem bothered though.

McLennon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

McLennon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gustus backwards.

McLennon misses with some punches.

Gustus manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Gustus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McLennon manages to get himself to full guard.

Gustus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gustus throwing strikes but missing.
McLennon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gustus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gustus slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

McLennon is letting Gustus control him for a moment.

Gustus is working to tighten his grip on McLennon's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McLennon has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gustus is really squeezing tight and eventually McLennon passes out! Gustus breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
