Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xon HiChi (ranked 2159 p4p, 1946 weight class) and Hendrik Lorentz (ranked 264 p4p, 244 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorentz shoots in looking for a takedown. HiChi tries to sprawl out of it but Lorentz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. HiChi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
HiChi looks to land a right hand but Lorentz moved out of range.

Xon HiChi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hendrik Lorentz.
HiChi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lorentz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
HiChi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
HiChi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lorentz is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

HiChi throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Lorentz's jaw, knocking him onto his back! HiChi dives in looking to finish as Lorentz flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block HiChi's strikes! HiChi is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Lorentz's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Lorentz was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
