The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Standifer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Standifer throws a shot to the body.
Standifer scores with a shot to the body.
Brendle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Standifer avoids it really well and circles away.
Standifer scores with a shot to the body.
Standifer lands with an uppercut that bounces Brendle off the cage and back into range.
Standifer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Brendle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Brendle takes one on the button.
Standifer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brendle. Brendle circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Standifer jabs Brendle to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Standifer cracks Brendle with an open hand slap.
Brendle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Brendle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Standifer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Standifer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Standifer tests Brendle's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Brendle is rocked!
Brendle on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Brendle takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brendle looks for a takedown but Standifer sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pepper Brendle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Standifer lunges at Brendle with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brendle's hand.
Finlay Standifer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Standifer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Standifer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Standifer lands a big right hook! Brendle looks hurt but is still standing! Standifer lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Brendle falls down and Standifer dives in with a huge hammer fist! Brendle's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Standifer runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
