Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darius Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Aru!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurstr�m and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Aru connects with a body shot.
Aru works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Aru lands an overhand right.
Gracie throws a leg kick
and Aru counters with a nice uppercut.
Gracie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Aru counters with a right hand to the body.
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Aru throws out a counter right but Gracie avoids it with no problem.
Aru lands the left hand.
Gracie swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Aru fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gracie is rocked!
Gracie throws a predictable looking body shot
and Aru counters with a nice uppercut.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie misses with a lunging right hand
and Aru counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Aru shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Aru to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aru cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs.
Gracie misses with a combination
and Aru connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Aru lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gracie misses with a left hand
and Aru counters with a stiff right hand.
Gracie on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Aru scores with a jab to the head.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick
letting Aru counter with a right hand.
Gracie gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Aru gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
