Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eduradr Nemkov (ranked 3597 p4p, 3719 weight class) and Konstantin Abakumov (ranked 462 p4p, 477 weight class). Konstantin Abakumov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abakumov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Abakumov feints and as Nemkov raises his hands in defense, Abakumov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Abakumov is nestled in close to Nemkov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Abakumov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nemkov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Abakumov lands a nice short elbow.
Abakumov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nemkov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nemkov.
Abakumov won't allow Nemkov to get back to his feet.

Abakumov is pushing down on Nemkov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nemkov is fighting to maintain full guard but Abakumov has managed to sneak the leg through.

Nemkov is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Shark Tank Private Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abakumov loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Nemkov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Abakumov land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Abakumov stands and salutes the crowd.
