Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Domingos Son (ranked 4599 p4p, 24266 weight class) and Francis Gane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Domingos Son has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Domingos Son!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Francis Gane!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Gane checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gane takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Horrible takedown attempt by Son or perhaps it was just good defense by Gane, which made it look bad.
Gane lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gane misses with a double jab.
Gane swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Son counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gane won't be happy with that.
Gane is not content to let Son control the position.

Son tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Son has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Son has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Gane wants to hold on but Son pushes him away.

Son tries to control but Gane wriggling away.
Son is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gane is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gane can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gane is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Son takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gane tries to hold on but Son pushes him away.

Son is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gane has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Son throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Gane tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gane wants to control but Son is having none of it.
Gane is trying to reverse the position but instead Son has taken his back - oops!
Gane wants to escape the position.
Son tries to keep control of the position but Gane is staying busy.

Gane just trying to survive but Son is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Son goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Gane escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Gane tries to stand and escape but Son actually recovers to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Son looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gane fails to land with a series of punches.
Son is looking for a counter combo.
Gane throws a right hand that Son ducks under and follows up with a left that Son also avoids with ease.
It looked like Son was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Son dodges the punch combination from Gane.
Son is looking to counter the offense by Gane and move into the clinch.
Son showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gane.
Son appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Gane tries to bum rush Son with a series of wild strikes but Son uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As Gane looks to move away, Son throws a big counter combo but Gane just gets out of the way.
Domingos Son is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Son slips a jab and a cross from Gane.
Gane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A quick step to the side and Son tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Son throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gane throws a nice looking combination but Son bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A quick step to the side and Son tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Son wants to sweep here but Gane controlling him for the moment.

Son is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Gane misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Son bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Son is posturing up here but Gane has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Son tries to roll out but it's too tight and Son has to tap! Slick submission there by Gane!
