Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 5742 p4p, 25113 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga shoots and misses
and Salvacion counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Amiga sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Amiga thinks about countering with a body kick.
Salvacion shoots for a takedown but Amiga saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Salvacion counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Amiga has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Salvacion is on him like a limpet, forcing Amiga back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Amiga drops down looking for an ankle pick but Salvacion pulls his leg out and moves away.
Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Salvacion tries for a takedown but Amiga sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amiga sprawls well. Amiga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet.
Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amiga is defended easily by Salvacion.

Salvacion shoots in and bounces Amiga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Amiga dodges the ground and pound from Salvacion.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Amiga wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Salvacion is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Amiga is not content to let Salvacion control the position.
Salvacion in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Richard John Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Salvacion closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Salvacion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Amiga is concentrating on defense, preventing Salvacion from advancing position.

Amiga has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage.
Amiga controls Salvacion momentarily but Salvacion frees himself.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amiga is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salvacion pinned against the cage. Salvacion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Salvacion tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
