Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Knuckles (ranked 4551 p4p, 4570 weight class) and Awut Somchai (ranked 162 p4p, 135 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brick Knuckles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles misses with a series of wild punches.
Somchai changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Knuckles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knuckles darts in trying to clinch
and Somchai counters with a series of strikes. Knuckles will be more careful next time no doubt.
Knuckles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Somchai throws a nice looking combination but Knuckles bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Knuckles gets control of Somchai's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knuckles will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Somchai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Somchai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Knuckles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Knuckles looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Knuckles is looking for a triangle but Somchai pushes his legs off easily.
Knuckles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Knuckles had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Somchai defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Knuckles pulls Somchai in close to prevent any damage.
Knuckles is looking to sweep but instead, Somchai has passed into half guard.

Somchai is working for a submission of some sort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Knuckles is trying to get back to full guard.

Awut Somchai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
