Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Irwin (ranked 2593 p4p, 1874 weight class) and Nando Vasquez (ranked 275 p4p, 206 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Irwin tries to clinch
and Vasquez counters with a nice leg kick.
Vasquez stuns Irwin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vasquez enables Irwin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vasquez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vasquez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Vasquez lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A decent looking cross lands there for Vasquez.
Vasquez thows a body kick. Irwin tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Still in the clinch, Vasquez scores with a nice short uppercut.

Irwin is trying to drag Vasquez to the mat but Vasquez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Vasquez lands a nice shot to the body.
Irwin tries to score a body lock takedown but Vasquez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Vasquez lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters circle momentarily. Vasquez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Vasquez lunges at Irwin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Irwin's hand.

Irwin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vasquez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Vasquez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vasquez steps in with a hook that catches Irwin right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Vasquez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Irwin looks absolutely devastated.
