Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Nomak!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCracken misses the shot to the body.
Nomak is looking to clinch.
A combination from Nomak does no damage.
Nomak misses with a jab, cross combination.
It looked like McCracken wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McCracken misses with a wild body shot.
Nomak throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Oooooh!!! Nomak has knocked McCracken down with a huge combo! Nomak steps away and waves a wobbly McCracken back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

McCracken is rocked!

It looks like Phil McCracken has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nomak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and McCracken counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Frank Nomak has been cut.
McCracken lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McCracken has taken the fight to the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from McCracken.
McCracken doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Nomak misses with a body punch.
McCracken dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Nomak can't break the clinch.

Nomak is trying to push McCracken away but McCracken has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
McCracken is struggling to control the position.
A left hand lands to the body for McCracken.
Nomak can't find room to land a body shot as McCracken controls the action.
Nomak misses with a punch on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Nomak's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nomak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McCracken lands with a right to the head.
McCracken lands on the inside with an uppercut.

The referee calls for McCracken to work.
McCracken stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
McCracken scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Nomak wants to get back to striking at distance but McCracken won't allow it.
Nomak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

McCracken breaks from the clinch.
Nomak thuds a left hand into McCracken's body.
Nomak falls off balance throwing a combination
and McCracken counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nomak tries for a takedown but McCracken sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nomak looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nomak looks winded!
Nomak walks into a stiff left hand from McCracken.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCracken tests Nomak's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McCracken misses with a body shot.
McCracken lands with an uppercut that bounces Nomak off the cage and back into range.
McCracken walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
McCracken lands an overhand right.
Phil McCracken is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McCracken lands with a right hand.

Nomak is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nomak scores with a nice strike.
Nomak throws a series of punches but McCracken avoids them all with ease.
Nomak wants to clinch
and McCracken cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nomak is still on wobbly legs! Can McCracken finish him?
Nomak jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McCracken appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Nomak seems to have recovered his senses.
McCracken is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Nomak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McCracken manages to avoid it.
McCracken doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

McCracken could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McCracken digs a good hook to Nomak's body.
Nomak misses with a lunging right hand
and McCracken counters with a straight right hand.

That has opened up Frank Nomak's cut even more.
McCracken is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Frank Nomak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Decent striking displayed by McCracken there.
Nomak misses with a wild body shot.
Nomak takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nomak lands with a nice combination. McCracken backs away looking to recover.

McCracken clinches up against the cage.

McCracken scores with a nice hook to the head.
McCracken works on Nomak's body with a couple of short punches.
McCracken digs a right hand into Nomak's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Nomak's gas tank.
McCracken taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Nomak's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
McCracken works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

McCracken gets through Nomak's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nice body punch from McCracken - that landed with a thud.
A right hook to the body lands for McCracken.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Nomak drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nomak misses with a lunging right hand
and McCracken connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McCracken keeps the fight on the outside.
McCracken throws a big counter combination but Nomak scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nomak wants to clinch up but McCracken keeps it at a distance.
It looked like McCracken was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Nomak.
Crack! McCracken connects with the perfect overhand right and Nomak falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for McCracken!
