Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Mith (ranked 2698 p4p, 3106 weight class) and Todd Rodd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodd fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mith walks into a jab.

It looks like Andre Mith has been cut.
Rodd throws a jab but it's blocked by Mith.
A shot to the body from Rodd misses
enabling Mith to counter with a crisp jab.
Rodd misses with a lunging right hand
and Mith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rodd throws the left hand but Mith avoids the punch easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Mith misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mith misses with a lunging right hand
and Rodd counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rodd thuds a left hand into Mith's body.
Rodd looks to land a left hand but Mith moved out of range nicely.
It looked like Mith wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Rodd lands with an overhand left.
Rodd misses with a hook. Mith ducked under it nicely.
Rodd cracks Mith with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rodd misses with a jab to the body
and Mith counters with a nice uppercut.
The fighters circling - Mith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rodd swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rodd listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Rodd throws out a loose jab but Mith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rodd slips under a jab.
Rodd swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Rodd lands a big right hand that sends Mith crashing to the mat! Rodd stays standing though and waves Mith back to his feet!

Mith is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slow jab from Rodd misses its intended target.
Mith gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Rodd gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
