Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bronte (ranked 5004 p4p, 2750 weight class) and Sean McCarthy (ranked 540 p4p, 348 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bronte might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Buffalo Charge by Dub Phizix and Strategy. The key to victory for Bob Bronte has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronte misses with a few strikes there.
McCarthy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCarthy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

My spies in JAG Battle Gym inform me that McCarthy has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

As McCarthy tries to get set, Bronte tries to push him back and clinch up but McCarthy manages to avoid the attempt.

Bronte drops McCarthy with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McCarthy looks back up at him and smiles so Bronte waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Sean McCarthy has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
