Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damian Drake (ranked 3110 p4p, 2508 weight class) and Jean Luc Jalbert (ranked 417 p4p, 340 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc Jalbert!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jalbert did well to prevent Drake getting side control.
Jalbert kicks off Drake and gets to his feet.
Drake bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drake tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jalbert's legs.
Drake misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jalbert is trying to control Drake's posture but Drake avoids it.
Drake has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jalbert takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Drake misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Drake sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Drake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jalbert is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Drake trying to control but Jalbert is having none of it.

Jalbert is bucking up trying to escape but Drake cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jalbert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jalbert is in a horrible position here. Drake smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drake connects with a bit shot that sees Jalbert covering up! More strikes from Drake and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Drake is our winner by TKO!
