Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kokkoro Kirin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Bowy!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Kirin misses the target.
Bowy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kirin.
Bowy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kirin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Luke Bowy has been cut.
Bowy with a hook.
Bowy attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kirin throws a looping overhand right but Bowy ducks down to avoid it.
Kirin looks to land a left hand but Bowy moved out of range nicely.
Bowy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kirin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bowy.
Bowy throws a front kick that sends Kirin stumbling back into the cage.
Bowy delivers a nice body kick.
Bowy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It looked like Kirin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bowy lands a nice shot to the body.
Bowy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kirin blocks the body kick.
Bowy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kirin is looking to counter punch.
Bowy thows a leg kick but Kirin checks it
and Kirin counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bowy! Kirin lets Bowy back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Bowy is rocked!
Bowy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kirin was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Bowy is still on wobbly legs! Can Kirin finish him?
Kirin is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Bowy flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bowy is out cold! Kirin holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kokkoro Kirin!
