Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buut gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Salvacion counters with a solid body kick.

Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Buut tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Buut's guard.
Buut wants to get back to his feet but Salvacion is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Buut pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage.

and Buut makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Salvacion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buut is fending him off so far but Salvacion persists. Nope, Buut circles away and we're back to standing.
Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Salvacion. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet.

Salvacion throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Buut was covering up waiting for the punch and Salvacion finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Buut has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Richard John Salvacion will probably get the nod.

Buut wants to control but Salvacion is keeping busy and won't allow it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Still in half guard, Salvacion seems content to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice side step and Buut releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Buut defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Buut into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Salvacion gets underhooks to prevent Buut's takedown attempt.

Salvacion has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Buut regains guard immediately.
Salvacion is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Salvacion won't allow Buut to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Buut goes for a double leg but Salvacion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvacion continues to drive forward.
A quick step to the side and Salvacion tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Salvacion drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Salvacion's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Buut not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Salvacion is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Buut lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Salvacion is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Salvacion is taking a breather. Buut says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Buut holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Buut wants to control the action here but instead Salvacion manages to pass to full mount!
Buut is squirming around, avoiding Salvacion's attempts to control the action.
