Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roscoe Regan (ranked 5876 p4p, 24863 weight class) and Atari Mason (ranked 542 p4p, 596 weight class). Atari Mason will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roscoe Regan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Atari Mason!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mason gets caught napping as Regan dives in and scores a takedown. Mason manages to retain guard.

Regan tries to free his leg and advance position but Mason is retaining full guard.
Regan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mason lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Regan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mason has picked Regan up and slammed him! Regan can't keep hold of the triangle and Mason manages to pass to side control!
Mason has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mason closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mason lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Regan has his foot on Mason's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mason works his way back into a safe position though.

Regan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mason is aware though and is defending well.
Mason slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mason stands up and waves to Regan to follow him.

Atari Mason comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mason has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
