Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Broxtino (ranked 4039 p4p, 5171 weight class) and Ran Dom (ranked 473 p4p, 543 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ran Dom was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Broxtino pushes Dom up against the cage in a clinch.
Dom looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dom steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Broxtino.

Broxtino darts in and clinches Dom up against the cage.

Broxtino breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Dom takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

I was talking to Broxtino's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Dom tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dom jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Broxtino walks away with a smile on his face. Dom gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Broxtino loads up on a big right hand but Dom slips the punch.

Broxtino lands with an uppercut that bounces Dom off the cage and back into range.

Dom is looking to clinch.
Dom misses with a head kick.
Dom closes the distance but Broxtino moves to the side
and Broxtino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Broxtino is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Broxtino scores with the left hand. Dom knows he should have avoided that one.

Broxtino lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Dom sprawling to the canvas. Broxtino follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Dom hang on?

Well, if Broxtino is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Broxtino is taking a breather. Dom says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dom seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Broxtino seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Dom tries to kick Broxtino off but Broxtino keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dom pushes Broxtino off and gets back to his feet.

and Broxtino counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Dom throws a sloppy head kick and Broxtino moves out of range easily.

Dom tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Broxtino manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Broxtino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Broxtino throws a right and a left that Dom avoids nicely.
Dom is looking to clinch but Broxtino is avoiding it.

Dom drives through and clinches with Broxtino against the cage.
