Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Christ (ranked 3578 p4p, 3809 weight class) and Bunny Akando (ranked 137 p4p, 143 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bunny Akando was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Akando.
Akando slips a straight right by Christ.
Christ chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Akando can pounce on him.
Christ throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Akando sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bunny Akando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christ throws a series of punches but Akando avoids them all with ease.
Christ connects with the punch.

It looks like Bunny Akando has been cut.
Akando throws a big shot that misses.
Akando throws a hook to the side of Christ's head but Christ sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Akando moves out of range as Christ strikes.
Christ throws a hook but Akando blocks it.
Akando misses with a hook. Christ ducked under it nicely.

Christ was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

A little feinted left hand from Christ on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Akando looks to land a right hand but Christ moved out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Christ bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Akando throws a looping overhand right but Christ ducks down to avoid it.

Christ feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Akando sprawling to the canvas! Akando rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Christ finish him?!

Akando is rocked!
Christ darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Akando's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Christ before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
