Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 18975 p4p, 4592 weight class) and Jason Aureli (ranked 0 p4p, 537 weight class). Krzysztof Zakrzewski could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jason Aureli's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Aureli!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aureli gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Zakrzewski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Aureli has Zakrzewski pressed against the cage, preventing Zakrzewski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Our sources have told us that Zakrzewski has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Zakrzewski jumps guard but Aureli stands there with Zakrzewski around his waist. Zakrzewski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Zakrzewski gets control of Aureli's arms and successfully pulls guard. Zakrzewski will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Aureli decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Aureli stalks Zakrzewski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zakrzewski's face. Zakrzewski staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Krzysztof Zakrzewski has been cut.
Aureli fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Zakrzewski checks it well.

Aureli closes the distance and clinches.
Aureli goes for a takedown attempt but Zakrzewski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Aureli misses with a low kick.
Zakrzewski attempts a counter takedown but Aureli avoids it well and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Zakrzewski. No joy for Aureli on that attempt.
Zakrzewski appears to be looking for a big counter.

Aureli doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zakrzewski counters with a nice low kick that buckles Aureli's knee momentarily.
Krzysztof Zakrzewski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Aureli.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zakrzewski enables Aureli to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zakrzewski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Aureli stands and steps away. Zakrzewski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Aureli looks for a takedown but Zakrzewski sprawls well.
Aureli throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Zakrzewski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Aureli.

Aureli stands up.
Aureli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zakrzewski pinned against the cage. Zakrzewski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zakrzewski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aureli tries to avoid it but Zakrzewski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aureli to the ground. Aureli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Aureli shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zakrzewski is trying to defend but Aureli finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Aureli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zakrzewski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aureli throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Zakrzewski to regain full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aureli's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Aureli escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zakrzewski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Zakrzewski wants to get up but he can't break Aureli's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Aureli working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zakrzewski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zakrzewski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Aureli is controlling Zakrzewski's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Aureli dives in and grabs Zakrzewski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zakrzewski pushes down on Aureli's head and hops out.

Aureli is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Zakrzewski is looking to improve his position but Aureli isn't that keen on the idea.

Aureli swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zakrzewski is now in Aureli's guard. A big mistake from Aureli there, giving up the dominant position!

Jason Aureli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Aureli closes the distance and pushes Zakrzewski back into the cage.
Aureli has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Zakrzewski is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A right hook to the body lands for Aureli.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Aureli holds on and takes a little breather.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Aureli had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zakrzewski defends it easily.

Aureli has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Zakrzewski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Aureli has Zakrzewski pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Zakrzewski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Krzysztof Zakrzewski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Aureli.
Zakrzewski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Aureli has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Zakrzewski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Aurelis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Zakrzewski looks for the body kick but Aureli saw that one coming.

Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aureli but Aureli pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Aureli fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Zakrzewski is looking to counter with a body kick.
Aureli swats away the attempt to clinch by Zakrzewski.
Aureli throws a head kick that misses.
Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aureli as he jumps to the side.
Krzysztof Zakrzewski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jason Aureli is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Jason Aureli seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jason Aureli comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Aureli has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
