Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Wick (ranked 4230 p4p, 6545 weight class) and Maris Rimenis (ranked 493 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rimenis shoots in for a double leg but Wick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rimenis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wick as he jumps to the side.
Wick misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wick shoots in but Rimenis avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Well Rimenis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
