The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Daddy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sakurai is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sakurai connects with a high kick.

It looks like Big Daddy has been cut.
Sakurai chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Daddy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sakurai to the mat! Sakurai manages to get full guard.
Sakurai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Daddy chips away with some ground and pound.
Daddy passes into half guard.
Daddy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Daddy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sakurai wanted to stand there but Daddy had control of the position.

Daddy is looking to cinch up a triangle. Sakurai throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Daddy's body to avoid the submission. Daddy has instead reached around Sakurai's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Daddy arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
