The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries for a takedown but Boland sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Boland. No joy for Alvarez on that attempt.
Boland darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Alvarez has hold of Boland's hands but Boland slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Boland is looking to stall here but Alvarez recovers full guard.
Alvarez has his foot on Boland's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boland works his way back into a safe position though.

Alvarez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Boland looks calm but he's in trouble here. Alvarez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Boland is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Alvarez lets go of the hold and Boland can pop his arm back in it's socket.
