Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clint Nantz (ranked 1951 p4p, 3478 weight class) and Thiago Furriel (ranked 227 p4p, 387 weight class). Clint Nantz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furriel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Furriel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Furriel looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Furriel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Furriel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Furriel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nantz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Nantz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Furriel.

Furriel has hold of Nantz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Nantz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Furriel cranks the arm and Nantz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Nantz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
