Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Volodymyr Kiyashko (ranked 5124 p4p, 25104 weight class) and Ranston Branston (ranked 546 p4p, 616 weight class). Kiyashko comes to the ring accompanied by Taras Borowok - Bayraktar. Volodymyr Kiyashko is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Volodymyr Kiyashko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ranston Branston!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiyashko pushes Branston up against the ropes in a clinch.
Kiyashko can't get the takedown.
Kiyashko lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Branston taking a breather.

Branston is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kiyashko is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Branston to the mat. Branston regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Branston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kiyashko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Branston wants to stand and escape but Kiyashko is having none of it.

Branston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kiyashko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kiyashko throws an elbow that misses. Branston uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kiyashko's guard. Nice move by Branston!

Kiyashko wants to get back to his feet but Branston is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kiyashko wants to sweep here but Branston controlling him for the moment.

Branston tries to free his leg and advance position but Kiyashko is retaining full guard.
Branston wants to control from the top but Kiyashko keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kiyashko gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kiyashko pushes off an throws an elbow but Branston leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Kiyashko ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kiyashko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Branston wants to pass the guard but Kiyashko is keeping the position.
Kiyashko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Branston on the ground.
Branston trying to control but Kiyashko is working from the bottom.
Branston loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Branston trying to control but Kiyashko is working from the bottom.
Kiyashko has control of Branston's left arm, preventing Branston from doing any damage.
Branston pushes down on Kiyashko's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kiyashko is staying active underneath Branston, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Branston tries to pass to full mount but Kiyashko defends it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Branston with a poor takedown

and Kiyashko counters by clinching up.
Kiyashko comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Ranston Branston has been cut.
Kiyashko lands a damaging elbow.
Branston is trying to break the clinch but Kiyashko is controlling him.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kiyashko.
Kiyashko tries to throw a body punch but Branston avoids it by throwing Kiyashko back against the ropes.
Kiyashko pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Branston on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kiyashko pushes off an throws an elbow but Branston leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Kiyashko has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Branston is trying to keep an underhook but Kiyashko manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kiyashko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Branston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kiyashko is working for a kimura but Branston is defending it quite comfortably.

We've been hearing that Kiyashko has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Branston is looking to control Kiyashko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Branston avoid being mounted?
Kiyashko is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Branston is trying to get back to full guard.
Kiyashko looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Kiyashko is looking to take a break and control but Branston is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kiyashko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Branston doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kiyashko.

Kiyashko lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Branston! More strikes land and this one is all over! Kiyashko jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
