PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yuta Sanguiao (ranked 5005 p4p, 2560 weight class) and Ajin Heceda (ranked 401 p4p, 265 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Heceda's choice of entrance music: Believer. On his way into the ring it seems that Yuta Sanguiao has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Yuta Sanguiao seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ajin Heceda!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heceda has taken the fight to the clinch.

Heceda lands a takedown into guard.
Sanguiao is looking to stand up but Heceda isn't so interested in that idea.
Heceda tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanguiao is retaining full guard.
Heceda preventing the sweep.
Sanguiao wants to stand up but Heceda is controlling him.
Sanguiao is trying to control the position but Heceda postures up.
Heceda not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Heceda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Heceda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanguiao is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Heceda slips nicely into half guard.
Heceda tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sanguiao knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanguiao is not content to let Heceda control the position.

Heceda is working for a kimura but Sanguiao is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Heceda wants to work for an arm triangle but Sanguiao is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Heceda uses his free foot to push down on Sanguiao's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sanguiao.
Sanguiao tries to lock up and control but Heceda gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Heceda is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sanguiao can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Sanguiao is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Heceda has taken his back!

Sanguiao is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Heceda.

Heceda has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Sanguiao is defending well but eventually Heceda manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Sanguiao has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Ajin Heceda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
