Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sonatane Veainu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Tassen!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tassen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Lee Tassen has been cut.
Tassen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A big left from Veainu misses.
Veainu looks to land a right hand but Tassen moved out of range.
Veainu seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Lee Tassen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Veainu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Veainu misses with an uppercut.
Tassen lands an overhand right.
Tassen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tassen throws an overhand right that lands on Veainu's shoulder, as Veainu tries to avoid the shot.
Tassen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice defenses there by Tassen.
Veainu misses with a wild body shot.
Tassen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Veainu.
Veainu appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Veainu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Veainu looks to land a right hand but Tassen moved out of range.
A swing and a miss from Tassen.
A jab from Veainu finds it's way through Tassen's defenses.
Tassen misses with a body shot
and Veainu counters with a nice uppercut.
That has opened up Lee Tassen's cut even more.
Tassen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Veainu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Veainu is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Veainu misses with a double jab.
Tassen moves out of range as Veainu strikes.
Veainu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tassens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
and Veainu counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Tassen! He's just covering up as Veainu starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sonatane Veainu!
