Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Kong (ranked 2351 p4p, 2648 weight class) and Naoise Durnin (ranked 320 p4p, 344 weight class). Durnin has chosen I'm Shipping Up To Boston by The Dropkick Murphy's as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong misses with a left hand
and Durnin counters with an inside leg kick.
The fighters circling - Durnin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kong has been working on his boxing with his coaches at WildBoar's Private Pig Pen in the buildup to the fight.
Durnin throws a nice inside leg kick.
Durnin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kong half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Durnin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Durnin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kong misses with a low kick.
Kong throws out a loose jab but Durnin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Durnin tries to bum rush Kong with a series of wild strikes but Kong uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Durnin has managed to clinch.
Kong misses with a knee to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kong is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Durnin is defending well.
Kong takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Cole Kong has been cut.
Durnin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Durnin lands a hook that snaps the head of Kong backwards.

Durnin tries to land knees in the clinch but Kong avoids the damage to the body.

We've been informed that Durnin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Durnin lands a vicious elbow to the side of Kong's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Durnin tries to finish him with strikes but Kong still seems able to defend himself so Durnin steps back and lets Kong get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
Oh Kong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Durnin lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kong head around and knocks him out cold! Durnin hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
