Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matija Maestro (ranked 229 p4p, 1492 weight class) and Fernando Valdez (ranked 34 p4p, 162 weight class). Valdez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Maestro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Valdez.
Maestro manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Valdez is thwarting Maestro's attempts to control the position.
Maestro gets back to full guard.
Valdez throws a sloppy strike and Maestro has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Valdez is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Maestro!

Matija Maestro seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Fernando Valdez stepped up to the mic, saying 'not sure if the ref jumped in too quick or the judges got it wrong but my disgraceful loss is owed to one of those.'.
