Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Shortman (ranked 3130 p4p, 2247 weight class) and Bertel Haardt (ranked 113 p4p, 75 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Shortman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bertel Haardt!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shortman closes the distance and clinches up with Haardt, looking for a takedown. Shortman pushes Haardt against the cage but Haardt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shortman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Haardt scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like James Shortman has been cut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Shortman or perhaps it was just good defense by Haardt, which made it look bad.
Shortman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shortman tries for a takedown but Haardt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Shortman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shortman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Haardt counters with a one-two to the body.

Haardt cracks Shortman with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Shortman looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Haardt finish him?

Shortman is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Haardt ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Shortman's jaw. Shortman's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Haardt does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
