Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blackout Mane (ranked 2135 p4p, 2369 weight class) and Hans Peter Baxxter (ranked 253 p4p, 279 weight class). Baxxter has chosen Weekend, Scooter as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mane.
Mane shoots in but Baxxter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Baxxter now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mane tries to clinch up.

Mane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Baxxter is trying to defend but Mane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Baxxter has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mane is on him like a limpet, forcing Baxxter back against the cage.
Mane trying to control the position but instead, Baxxter has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mane into the cage.
Baxxter gets through Mane's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Baxxter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mane's corner calls for a 1-2. Mane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Blackout Mane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mane closes the distance and clinches.
Mane fails to pull guard.

Mane lands a right hand.
Baxxter lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Mane.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mane.
Mane misses with a punch on the inside.
Baxxter digs a right hand underneath Mane's ribcage. Mane let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Baxxter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Baxxter defends it easily.

Baxxter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Baxxter has managed to get both his arms back between Mane's legs - danger averted.
Baxxter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mane is pulling down on Baxxter's head. It's preventing any offense from Baxxter, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Baxxter throws a sloppy head kick and Mane moves out of range easily.
Mane was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mane misses with a takedown
and Baxxter counters with a left to the body.
Baxxter misses with a hook.
No luck for Mane with that takedown attempt.
Mane's corner calls for a 1-2. Mane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Mane has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Baxxter finds it's way round the side to connect with Mane's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Baxxter is looking for the big counter here.
Baxxter scores with a jab. Mane acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Mane lands a right hook to the body.

Hans Peter Baxxter dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Baxxter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Baxxter looks to throw the jab but Mane is out of range.
It looked like Mane wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A slapping body kick lands there for Baxxter.
Mane lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Mane throws an overhand right that lands on Baxxter's shoulder, as Baxxter tries to avoid the shot.

Mane drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Baxxter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Baxxter is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Mane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Baxxter, who protects the arm well.
Mane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baxxter keeps working.
A lull in the action here as Mane stalls from top position.
Baxxter is looking for a sweep.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Baxxter is still trying to improve position.
Mane in the domination position with Baxxter hanging on.
Baxxter is looking to reverse the position.
Baxxter is not content to let Mane control the position.
Baxxter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Baxxter gets full guard.
Baxxter seems keen to control Mane's posture.
Mane tries to free his leg and advance position but Baxxter is retaining full guard.

Mane goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Baxxter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mane but great work by Baxxter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mane is letting Baxxter control him for a moment.
Mane sneaks back into half guard.

Baxxter escapes and gets back to his feet.
Baxxter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mane.
Mane moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mane throws a combination that misses
and Mane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mane scores with a nice right hand.

Mane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Baxxter pushes Mane off and gets back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Hans Peter Baxxter will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Baxxter has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mane shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Baxxter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mane throws a shot from downtown. Baxxter moves away and avoids it.
Mane goes for a double leg but Baxxter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Baxxter continues to drive forward.

Mane jumps guard but Baxxter stands there with Mane around his waist. Mane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baxxter sprawls well. Baxxter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mane gets slowly back to his feet.
Blackout Mane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mane tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baxxter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Baxxter lands with a cross.
Baxxter lands with a straight right. Mane didn't see that one coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mane has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Baxxter.
Mane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Baxxter counters with a huge right that knocks Mane out cold! Baxxter is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
