Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Rom (ranked 3312 p4p, 25275 weight class) and Danielos Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jorge Rom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Danielos Tiger!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tiger.
Rom tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Tiger manages to circle out of the way.
Tiger dives in and grabs Rom's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rom pushes down on Tiger's head and hops out.

Rom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tiger sprawls well initially but Rom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rom is thwarting Tiger's attempts to control the position.
Tiger has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Rom wants to stand up but Tiger has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Rom looks to land a strike but Tiger avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tiger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rom wants to get up but he can't break Tiger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tiger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tiger has an active guard here but Rom has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tiger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tiger.

Tiger is working an open guard so Rom takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Tiger dives in for a single leg takedown but Rom sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jorge Rom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danielos Tiger.
No luck for Tiger with that takedown attempt.
Rom stuffs the takedown attempt from Tiger. Tiger gets slowly back to his feet.
Tiger wants to clinch but Rom slips to the side

and Rom counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tiger looks winded!
Rom throws a big elbow that misses.

Rom won't allow Tiger to sweep him here.
Rom is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tiger looking to control but Rom passes into half guard.
Tiger looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rom takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Rom is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tiger has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rom throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tiger wants to control the action here but instead Rom manages to pass to full mount!
Tiger can't escape the position.
Rom misses with a head shot.
Rom thowing shots but they're missing.
Tiger is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Rom throws some wild stikes that Tiger manages to avoid easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rom is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tiger is surviving well by controlling Rom's body position as best he can.
Rom takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nice takedown defense from Rom. No joy for Tiger on that attempt.
Tiger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rom is fending him off so far but Tiger persists. Nope, Rom circles away and we're back to standing.
Tiger should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Rom takes the fight into the clinch.
Rom gets underhooks to prevent Tiger's takedown attempt.

Rom shoots in for a double leg but Tiger sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tiger paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tiger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rom but Rom pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rom feinted with a counter takedown.

Tiger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tiger is breathing heavily.
Rom tries to clinch but Tiger moves out of range.
Rom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tiger pinned against the cage. Tiger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rom dives in and scores a takedown into Tiger's guard.

Jorge Rom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rom decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tiger, up you get!

Rom's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Rom wants to get back to his feet.
Rom is refusing to be controlled, as Tiger sits in half guard.
Rom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tiger on the ground.
Rom wants to get back to full guard.
Rom keeping hold of Tiger's head, controlling as best he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tiger looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rom fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tiger, pushing him back against the cage.
Rom jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tiger walks away with a smile on his face. Rom gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rom has a takedown stuffed.
Tiger slaps away a takedown attempt from Rom, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tiger fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rom to the ground. Tiger is now in Rom's guard.

Rom pushes Tiger off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Tiger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rom pinned against the cage. Rom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rom is looking for a counter combo.
Rom throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Tiger looks for a takedown but Rom sprawls well.
Tiger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rom paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tiger walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rom checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rom shoots in looking for a takedown. Tiger tries to sprawl out of it but Rom keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tiger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jorge Rom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiger tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tiger somewhat.

Tiger moves out of range of the body kick from Rom.
Rom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tiger is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Rom is looking to clinch.
Rom fails with the takedown.
Tiger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rom as he jumps to the side.
Rom is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tiger can do to turn this around?

Rom throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tiger was covering up waiting for the punch and Rom finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rom is standing up over Tiger. Tiger looks to escape but Rom dives into side control.
Tiger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tiger wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Rom decides to stand back up. Rom steps back and let's Tiger get back to his feet.

Tiger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rom stands and steps away. Tiger gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rom tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tiger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tiger only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Rom throws out a loose jab but Tiger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tiger shoots in but no luck this time.

Rom defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tiger.
Rom fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tiger is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rom fails to land the takedown.
Tiger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rom defends well and Tiger ends up having to push Rom into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rom went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Tiger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tiger is trying to control the position but Rom postures up.
Rom trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rom might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rom gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Tiger leaves Rom with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rom is looking to clinch.
A countering left hand to the body from Tiger misses.
Danielos Tiger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rom has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rom jumps guard but Tiger stands there with Rom around his waist. Rom gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rom wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rom is working for takedown but Tiger is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rom drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tiger pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tiger throws a head kick but Rom moves out of range.
Jorge Rom is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rom moves out of range as Tiger strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jorge Rom showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Rom has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
