Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pentti Koyri (ranked 702 p4p, 2175 weight class) and Orestes Prometheus (ranked 116 p4p, 51 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Pentti Koyri has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pentti Koyri seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pentti Koyri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Orestes Prometheus!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Koyri.
Prometheus throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Koyri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prometheus.
Prometheus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Koyri.
Koyri throws a hook but Prometheus avoids it easily.
It seemed like Prometheus was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Prometheus scores with a nice head shot.
Prometheus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Koyri jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Prometheus counters with a body kick that stops Koyri in his tracks momentarily.

Koyri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koyri throws an overhand right that lands on Prometheus's shoulder, as Prometheus tries to avoid the shot.
Prometheus looks to land a combination but Koyri avoids it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Koyri looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Koyri buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Koyri scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Prometheus uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Koyri.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Prometheus! But no joy.
Koyri connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Prometheus has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Koyri lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

and Koyri counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Koyri throws a lazy right hand but Prometheus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Prometheus walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Prometheus misses with an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Prometheus throws the kick towards the body but Koyri avoids it.
Koyri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Koyri looks to land a left hand but Prometheus moved out of range nicely.
Koyri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Prometheus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Koyri doesn't manage to clinch there - Prometheus circles away.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Orestes Prometheus will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Prometheus sends Koyri crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Prometheus is motioning to the referee to let Koyri up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

and Koyri counters with a nice uppercut.
Koyri throws a sloppy head kick
and Prometheus counters with a nice right hand that sends Koyri toppling to the canvas! Koyri scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Prometheus finish him?!
Oh Koyri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pentti Koyri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koyri tries to get into range but Prometheus steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Koyri! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Prometheus scores the big KO victory!
