Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boris Bors (ranked 1218 p4p, 1347 weight class) and Clin Cartwright (ranked 134 p4p, 144 weight class). Cartwright comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cirice kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Cartwright has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bors is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cartwright.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bors sizes up Cartwright with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Clin Cartwright has been cut.
Bors misses with a looping left.
Bors cracks Cartwright with a right hand to the side of the head.
Cartwright shoots in looking for a takedown but Bors manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cartwright's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bors feints and then cracks Cartwright's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cartwright down.
Bors lands with a nice combination. Cartwright backs away looking to recover.
Bors throws a hook to the side of Cartwright's head but Cartwright sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bors throws a lazy right hand but Cartwright sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cartwright is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bors with a body shot.
Bors takes a swing at Cartwright's ribcage but misses.

Bors is fighting to break Cartwright's control of his arms but Cartwright is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Cartwright lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boris Bors.
