Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Marko II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stark comes into the arena with Go Into The Water blaring out of the sound system. Cain Marko II is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stark gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Stark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marko II is one step ahead there.

Stark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marko II gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stark postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Marko II is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stark, into his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stark had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Marko II is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stark Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Marko II's back instead.

Stark has the hooks in. Marko II is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
