Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curly Shoe (ranked 4801 p4p, 6209 weight class) and Jesus Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoe scores with a hook to the body. Ivanov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Shoe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shoe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ivanov as he jumps to the side.

Ivanov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shoe is trying to defend but Ivanov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Shoe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ivanov on the ground.

Ivanov wants to finish this one by submission but Shoe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ivanov.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ivanov lands a couple of good shots and Shoe has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Shoe is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Ivanov.
Ivanov cracks Shoe with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Shoe from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Ivanov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Shoe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ivanov tries to avoid it but Shoe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ivanov to the ground. Ivanov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ivanov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shoe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ivanov is in Shoe's guard.

Shoe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ivanov as he jumps to the side.

Ivanov has managed to clinch.
Ivanov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ivanov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shoe can't fight it off and eventually Ivanov manages to take the fight to the floor. Shoe looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ivanov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shoe sprawls well initially but Ivanov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Curly Shoe's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Ivanov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
