Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dez Havok!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havok tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Havok slips a straight right by Kong.
Kong has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Havok looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Havok tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kong scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Havok to see if he's OK.
Kong cracks Havok with a big right hand but Havok just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kong in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Kong connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Havok some visible discomfort.
Kong lands a few punches from side control.
Havok is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Havok tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Havok is still in real trouble! Can Kong finish him?
Kong scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Havok is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kong can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Kong!
During a confident post fight interview, Cole Kong thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
