Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noel Diaz (ranked 14 p4p, 822 weight class) and Odd Job (ranked 2 p4p, 119 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by The Stockton Slap Song. The key to victory for Noel Diaz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Noel Diaz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Odd Job! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Job with a lazy takedown attempt and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Job looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diaz is fending him off so far but Job persists. Nope, Diaz circles away and we're back to standing. Job shoots for a takedown but Diaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Noel Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Odd Job. Diaz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Job shoots in and bounces Diaz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Job engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Diaz is controlling Job's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Job drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Diaz dives on top into guard.
 The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz trying to control but Job is working from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Job trying to keep a closed guard but Diaz is proving a slippery customer.
Diaz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Diaz being controlled here momentarily.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Job is keeping the position for now.
Diaz is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Job has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Diaz is looking to defend but Job has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Diaz! Job pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Diaz taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Odd Job! Odd Job is the new welterweight champion!
