Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zak Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Salles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salles moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Salles is trying to drag Simmons to the mat but Simmons just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Simmons is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Simmons wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Salles taking a breather.

Salles has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Simmons uses from the top position.
Simmons looking to sit in guard and control but Salles gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Salles tries to free his leg and advance position but Simmons is retaining full guard.

Simmons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Salles must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Salles connects with a couple of short punches.

Salles wants to pass the guard but Simmons is keeping the position.
Salles wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving.

Simmons escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Salles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Simmons working for a triangle but Salles defends it easily.

Salles has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Simmons to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Salles is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Simmons pulls down on the head and he's put Salles to sleep! This one is all over!
