Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chunk Liddell (ranked 4242 p4p, 3436 weight class) and Roidany Figgins (ranked 492 p4p, 421 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chunk Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roidany Figgins!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddell scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Figgins is looking to control Liddell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Figgins avoid being mounted?

Figgins is trying desperately to improve position.

Figgins wants to control but Liddell is having none of it.

and Liddell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Figgins goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Figgins tries to work over Liddell's front leg with a kick but Liddell checks it.
Figgins looks for the body kick but Liddell saw that one coming.
Roidany Figgins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown attempt by Liddell or perhaps it was just good defense by Figgins, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chunk Liddell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Figgins gets in close and instigates a clinch.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Figgins has cracked Liddell with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Figgins lands another huge swinging hook and Liddell tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Liddell, before Figgins can land any more shots!
