Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lu Cheng (ranked 6524 p4p, 4723 weight class) and Zhong Guoliang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guoliang drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A shot to the liver by Cheng. Beautiful body shot.
Guoliang walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Guoliang is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Guoliang moves forwards but Cheng connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Cheng lands with a hook. Guoliang tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Guoliang shoots in looking for a takedown but Cheng manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Guoliang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Guoliang turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Cheng throws a lazy right hand but Guoliang sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cheng sets himself, and Guoliang steps forward looking for the clinch! Cheng avoids it this time.

Cheng slaps away a takedown attempt from Guoliang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Guoliang is trying desperately to land a takedown but Cheng is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Guoliang.

Guoliang rushes Cheng and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cheng wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Guoliang has him pressed against the cage.
Cheng really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Guoliang has his foot on Cheng's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cheng works his way back into a safe position though.
