Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Kid Laroi (ranked 3365 p4p, 4401 weight class) and Vick Jarzen (ranked 356 p4p, 444 weight class). The Kid Laroi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, The Kid Laroi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vick Jarzen!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jarzen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jarzen lands in his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Laroi is on top in guard.

Jarzen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Laroi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing that Laroi has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Laroi wants to control from the top but Jarzen keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laroi is really struggling to control Jarzen but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Laroi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jarzen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Laroi has Jarzen in his guard.

Laroi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jarzen manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jarzen is looking for a triangle here but Laroi uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Laroi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jarzen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jarzen shrugs it off.

Laroi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Jarzen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Laroi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jarzen!
Jarzen is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Laroi wants to control the pace but Jarzen is squirming around nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Laroi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jarzen has worked his arm free - good work by Jarzen!

Laroi is working to tighten his grip on Jarzen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jarzen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Laroi is really squeezing tight and eventually Jarzen passes out! Laroi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
