PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jade Bone (ranked 4651 p4p, 4494 weight class) and Lue Elizondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elizondo takes a swing at Bone's ribcage but misses.

Bone clinches up with Elizondo and pushes him back against the cage.
Elizondo is trying to force a seperation but Bone has the dominant position.
Bone throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Elizondo tries a knee to the head but Bone blocks it.

Bone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bone closes the distance and clinches up with Elizondo, looking for a takedown. Bone pushes Elizondo against the cage but Elizondo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bone throws a sloppy head kick and Elizondo moves out of range easily.
Elizondo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Bone fails with a takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Elizondo wants to sweep here but Bone controlling him for the moment.

Bone is looking to work some ground and pound but Elizondo has wrist control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bone slips a straight right by Elizondo.

Bone has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Elizondo regains guard immediately.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Elizondo wants to sweep here but Bone controlling him for the moment.

Elizondo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bone is aware though and is defending well.

Elizondo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bone manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jade Bone will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Elizondo throws out a loose jab but Bone uses good head movement to avoid it.
It looked like Bone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Elizondo tries to close the distance and clinch but Bone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Elizondo stuffs the takedown attempt from Bone. Bone gets slowly back to his feet.
Bone shoots in but no luck this time.
Elizondo wants to counter with a clinch but Bone pushes him away.
Bone tries to clinch up but Elizondo circles away and keeps his distance.
Elizondo throws a lazy right hand but Bone sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It looked like Bone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Bone tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Elizondo defends well and Bone ends up having to push Elizondo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Elizondo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Elizondo swings for the body but Bone moves out of range.
A slow jab from Elizondo misses its intended target.
Bone drops down looking for a counter takedown but Elizondo sprawls and moves away.
Elizondo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bone was well out of range. Poor timing from Elizondo.
Bone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Elizondo swivels and escapes.

Elizondo rushes Bone and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bone is trying to break the clinch but Elizondo is controlling him.

Elizondo can't find room to land a body shot as Bone controls the action.
Elizondo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bone.
Bone tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Elizondo avoids it.
Bone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Elizondo is looking to break free of the clinch but Bone has double underhooks.

Elizondo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Elizondo gets a double leg takedown into Bone's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elizondo is working Bone over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lue Elizondo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Elizondo leaves Bone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bone is looking to clinch but Elizondo is avoiding it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Elizondo.
Bone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elizondo.
As Elizondo looks to move away, Bone throws a big counter combo but Elizondo just gets out of the way.
Lue Elizondo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bone moves in looking to clinch but Elizondo pushes him off.
Elizondo is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Elizondo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bone wants to get back to his feet but Elizondo is dominant here and he's now got Bone's back!

Elizondo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Elizondo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bone has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Bone tries to escape but Elizondo has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Lue Elizondo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Elizondo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
