Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Rosa (ranked 1195 p4p, 1184 weight class) and Akira Maeda (ranked 161 p4p, 158 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Henrique Rosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Akira Maeda!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda throws a body shot but no joy.
Maeda gets the takedown into side control.
Rosa is working to avoid the ground and pound but Maeda connects with a decent elbow.
Rosa avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Maeda.
Maeda looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rosa is avoiding damage well.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Maeda working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Maeda connects with a nice short shot to Rosa's temple.

Akira Maeda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Maeda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
