Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Mouse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kip Thorne!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thorne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Thorne looks like he wants to counter punch here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thorne can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mouse sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thorne's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mouse is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thorne is just riding it out for now. Mouse eventually gives up the hold.
Thorne is doing well to control the position and prevent Mouse from advancing to side control.
Thorne's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Thorne cracks Mouse with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Mouse slips a straight right by Thorne.
Mouse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mouse uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thorne.
Mouse drops down looking for a counter takedown but Thorne sprawls and moves away.
Thorne throws a body punch but Mouse moves out of range.
Thorne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mouse manages to avoid it.
Kip Thorne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Thorne throws a looping overhand right but Mouse ducks down to avoid it.
Thorne misses with a straight right.
Thorne misses with a lunging right hand

and Mouse counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Thorne is defending against the submission attempts here by Mouse.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thorne preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Let's hope that Thorne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mouse seems to be looking for submissions.
Thorne keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Thorne holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Mouse tries to pass to full mount but Thorne defends it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mouse is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thorne defends it well.

Mouse is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thorne is just riding it out for now. Mouse eventually gives up the hold.

Mouse is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thorne sees it coming and defends easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mouse passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Thorne!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kip Thorne will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Mouse swings around for an armbar but Thorne sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mouse's guard.

Mouse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thorne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thorne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mouse looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Thorne is defending well. Mouse quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Thorne has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mouse celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
