The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from George.
May takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
George cracks May with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
George really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
George catches May with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
May shoots for a double leg takedown but George sprawls well. He's pushed May's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
May on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Curious George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
May fails with a takedown attempt.
May changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. George tries to avoid it but May manages to keep hold of a leg and drag George to the ground. George escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Curious George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King May.

May on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

George fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
May is looking to clinch but George is avoiding it.

May walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

May fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
May throws a head kick but George moves out of range.

George is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

George throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent May stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
George lands a glancing blow to the side of May's head.
George swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by May.

May goes for a double leg but George avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as George continues to drive forward.
May takes a jab right on the kisser.
George is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
May wants to clinch.
May gets cracked there but stands up to it.
George darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

May should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
George ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
George uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
May gets cracked with a nice right hand there by George.

George connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed May momentarily.

May is rocked!
George is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
May walks straight into a right hand from George - that's dropped him! George jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save May from any more punishment! May complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
