The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izback shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hernandez eats them both and turns towards Izback to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Izback shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hernandez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Izback is looking to work some ground and pound but Hernandez has wrist control.
Izback in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hernandez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Izback.
Hernandez is trying to control the position but Izback postures up.
Hernandez wants to sweep but no luck.
Izback passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hernandez takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Izback tries to score with some ground and pound. Hernandez controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Izback cracks Hernandez with an elbow. That is naaassty.

A big shot lands for Izback! That's hurt Hernandez! Will he recover? Izback fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
