Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Alvarez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dillon Danis!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Danis.
Alvarez throwing a counter right hand but Danis manages to avoid it.
Danis throws a solid leg kick but Alvarez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Danis.
An attempted straight right counter from Alvarez misses the target.
An inside leg kick from Danis misses.
A low kick from Danis is predictable there
and Alvarez counters with a straight right hand.
Danis misses the body punch
and Danis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Alvarez thuds his right hand into Danis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Danis fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danis blocks a jab.
Alvarez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Alvarez throws a right hand that Danis ducks under and follows up with a left that Danis also avoids with ease.
Danis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alvarez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alvarez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Danis misses with a takedown
and Alvarez counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Dillon Danis has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alvarez moves out of range of the body kick from Danis.
Alvarez misses with a two punch combination.
Alvarez throws a right hand that Danis ducks under and follows up with a left that Danis also avoids with ease.
Danis shoots in but Alvarez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Danis is defended easily by Alvarez.
As Danis looks to move away, Alvarez throws a big counter combo but Danis just gets out of the way.
Jackson Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dillon Danis.

Alvarez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Danis.
Danis has a takedown stuffed.
Alvarez checks a leg kick.
Danis tries to land a body kick
and Alvarez counters with a three punch combo that has Danis backing up. Danis nods at Alvarez to acknowledge the strikes.
Alvarez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Alvarez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Danis is rocked!
Alvarez misses with a two punch combination.
Nice straight punches there by Alvarez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Alvarez.

Danis darts in looking for a takedown but Alvarez gets double underhooks and turns Danis into the cage.
It looked like Alvarez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Alvarez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Danis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Alvarez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackson Alvarez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alvarez stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Danis is still on wobbly legs! Can Alvarez finish him?
Danis tries to clinch but Alvarez moves away
and Alvarez counters with a big right hand! Oh Danis is in trouble here! Alvarez follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jackson Alvarez!

A relieved looking Jackson Alvarez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Dillon Danis had this to say: 'It is what it is, man'.
