The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ball gets caught flat footed, as Lickmeoff shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ball is looking to stand back up but Lickmeoff counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ball.

Ball is staying active underneath Lickmeoff, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lickmeoff thows a huge punch but Ball dodges it nicely.
Ball knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lickmeoff on the ground.
Lickmeoff seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ball does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ball is refusing to be controlled, as Lickmeoff sits in half guard.

Lickmeoff wants to counter with a clinch but Ball pushes him away.

Ball throws out a leg kick but Lickmeoff moves out of range and Ball only half commits.

Lickmeoff slips a jab and a cross from Ball.
Ball misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ball cracks Lickmeoff with an open hand slap.
Lickmeoff moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lickmeoff takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ball scores with a jab to the body.
Ball lunges at Lickmeoff with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lickmeoff's hand.
Ball connects with a looping right hand.
Ball connects with the punch.

Ball lands a big uppercut and Lickmeoff crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lickmeoff looks OK. Ball waves Lickmeoff back to his feet!

Lickmeoff is rocked!
Ball throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lickmeoff is still on wobbly legs! Can Ball finish him?
Ball just misses with a punch to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ball tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lickmeoff was well out of range. Poor timing from Ball.
Lickmeoff seems to have recovered his senses.
Ball lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lickmeoff circles away quickly and effectively.
Lickmeoff ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ball moves away.
Ball is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lickmeoff can do to turn this around?

Lickmeoff defending well as Ball loads up on a big left hand.
Lickmeoff unleashes a big counter combination but Ball bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Lickmeoff shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ball as he jumps to the side.
A little feinted left hand from Ball on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ball fails to land with a series of punches.
Lickmeoff wants to clinch but Ball slips to the side
and Ball counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ball stuffs the takedown attempt from Lickmeoff. Lickmeoff gets slowly back to his feet.
Robert Ball is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ball Throws a clean left jab. Ball Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Lickmeoff's chin! Lickmeoff crumbles to the ground and Ball follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Ball!
