These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hoddle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Burroughs.

Hoddle's corner calls for a 1-2. Hoddle obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hoddle attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Burroughs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hoddle sprawls well initially but Burroughs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Burroughs is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hoddle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burroughs is working away from the top position though.
Burroughs in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hoddle tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Burroughs!

After the fight, Jimmy Burroughs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
